Mindfulness Mediation

So after a very full day of homework, housework, and recovery from the weekend I remembered that I needed to meditate and blog. I was absolutely dreading have to break my stride, slow myself down and sit still; I was getting so many things accomplished! Finally. after realizing that this would probably be the best time for me to get it checked off my "Things To Do" List, I sat down in my favorite comfy chair and began.

I sat cross legged with my back straight up against the chair and started to notice my breathing. I had to pull myself back to my breathing quite a few times...I nodded off a time or two. Each time I brought my awareness back to my breath I became a little more relaxed and it became easier to focus for a longer period of time. When my 15 minute timer went off I found myself wondering how the time passed so quickly; how amazing I felt fabulous! I've always been a big fan of meditation but haven't practiced in a very long while, its great getting back into it!
